Sportscraft Electronic Scorer

This is an electronic scorer a friend bought for me a number of years ago. I have never seen them locally, but have been told that you can still find them at your local K'Mart, Walmart and some of your larger sporting goods stores. If I remember correctly, it costs around $10 to $15.

It can keep score for up to two opponents for the following games:

• 301 SI/SO or DI/DO
• 501 SI/SO or DI/DO
• Count Up

Pros: If you're not good at math, then this will help. It's easy to use and even has an auto-shutoff if you should forget to turn it off. It is powered by two AAA batteries.

Cons:
1. It's not like soft-tip machines, it doesn't keep score for you automatically, you have to punch in your score.
2. If you hang it up next to your board and your board is well lit, the readout is almost impossible to read from the throwing line.
3. It does your math for you. How is that a bad thing you ask? How many good dart throwers do you know that need help with their math? I've never met one!

Recommendation: If you like gadgets, especially when it comes to darts, like I do, it's inexpensive and doesn't take that much wall space. But, to be honest with you, it hasn't been used in years.
